Hypopressive Fitness Australia offers 45 hours of training divided into 3 levels (15 hours each level ) for qualified professionals in the following fields:
- Personal Training
- Fitness, Pilates, Yoga Instruction
- Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Chiropractic
- Obstetrics, Midwifery
Level One
The Level One course consists of the theoretical and physiological concepts upon which this method is based. You will discover the benefits of this method and how/why it evolved from a simple rehabilitation tool to a complete body workout. You will learn the hypopressive breathing technique and how to teach it to your clients/patients and the basic exercise routine that includes 10 poses. Each pose is demonstrated and analysed for better understanding and optimal coaching.
Theory
- The hypopressive technique concept compared to conventional abdominal training
- Anatomical and physiological effects of the hypopressive exercises
- Health and prevention through LPF
- Abdominal and thoracic competency assessment
Practice
- Exercises for myofascial release and diaphragmatic liberation
- Breathing technique methodology
- Level 1 Hypopressive Fitness exercises sequence, including the progressions, transitions and adaptations
- Training methodology for the individual and small groups.
- Core competency tests

2 days - total of 15hrs
Pre-requisites:
Current Health or Fitness related Professional Certification
Current First Aid Certification
Level Two
Level two you will be provided with a more in-depth and detailed understanding of the hypopressive technique. In addition to the initial static poses learnt in Level 1 you will be shown, experience and progress through the more advanced dynamic series.
Theory
- Anamnesis and patients initial assessment
- Session organization for LPF group training
- Hypopressive Fitness and its relation to the postural and proprioceptive system.
Practice
- Myofascial release techniques for shoulder girdle release
- Breathing technique introductory exercises
- Level 2 hypopressive exercises sequence, including the progressions, transitions and adaptations
- Training methodology for group training.
- Protocols and exercise prescription
Duration:
2 days - total of 15 hrs
Pre-requisites:
Current Health or Fitness related Professional Certification
Current First Aid Certification
Level Three
This advanced level includes a deeper and more complex theoretical understanding and the integration of complementary tools with the practical routine. Upon completion of level 3 you will be issued with the Hypopressive Fitness Expert Certification.
Theory
- Neurodynamics integrated into hypopressives
- Physiologic effects of hypoxia and the hypopressive breathing technique
- Pelvi-perineal biomechanics
- Pelvic floor pathologies in sports performance
Practice:
- The use of complementary training tools in hypopressives to enhance its benefits.
- Myofascial release techniques for the hypopressive sessions
- Level 3 LPF exercises sequence, including the progressions, transitions and adaptations.
Duration:
2 days – total of 15hrs
In all of our courses students will be provided with an illustrated handbook of information studied at each level. Upon the successful evaluation of the student’s knowledge, ability and competence, certification as a Hypopressive Fitness instructor will be issued.
In addition, all certified instructors will be included in the contact page of the Core Tone Fitness Australia website made available to people looking for an Core Tone professional in their area. Students and certified instructors can also be part of our forum where questions and can be asked and experiences shared.
Workshop
Hypopressive Fitness Workshops will introduce you to the hypopressive experience and provide you with the basic knowledge for personal practice.
Hypopressive Fitness workshops are designed for the general public, however, if you are a fitness or health professional and you would like to learn more about the method before committing to a certification course, this is a great opportunity.
Hypopressive Fitness taster workshop - a 2 hour intensive course where you will learn:
- The principles Hypopressive Fitness and the hypopressive technique.
- The benefits for your health and fitness
- To perform the specific breathing technique
- 3 basic poses from the 10 part Level 1 routine.
At the completion of the workshop you will receive an introductory ‘home practice’ guide to help you experience the direct benefits for yourself!
